Paola Bianco is an architect, but also a passionate foodie. She will be our tour guide and cooking teacher while in Bologna.



Born in Padua (IT) in 1969.

Lives in Bologna (IT) since the end of year 2000.

Degree in Architecture at IUAV-Venice (IT) in 1997: history of the art, history of architecture, history of photography, etc. were studied during this period.

TOEFL exam in 1997 (score 617/699).

Master of Science in Energy and Sustainable Development at De Montfort University in Leicester (UK) in 1998.

Training internships at Energie Cites - Besancon (F, 1998) and the European Commission - DG TREN (Energy and Transport), Brussels (B, 2000).

Admitted to the Ordine degli Architetti della Provincia di Bologna (the registration to one of these Ordini  is compulsory to work as architect in Italy) in 2004 and registered up to present.

Opened a studio and design consultancy in 2006, where are also periodically hosted events related to the arts (photography, sculpture, gardening, comics).

Participated between 2007 and 2012 to national and international competitions in architecture, photography, graphics.

CQAP (Commissione per la Qualità Architettonica ed il Paesaggio) member at the municipality of Rubiera (IT) from 2007 to 2013. From 2014 member of the CQAP at the municipality of Cento (FE).

Contributor from 2008 up to present with the magazine Il Giornale dell’Architettura, distributed and sold nationwide (from 2010 also with the online version of the magazine ; contributed also to the daily magazine published in the occasion of the CERSAIE fair 2011, the Biennale Architettura 2012 and the SAIE fair 2012).

In 2010, co-founder of the NGO Archingstudio ( architects and engineers from all over Italy are affiliated; left the association in 2014.

Member of Home Food association ( since 2013 and also Saragozza Social Street from 2014.
