The Treasures of Emila Romagna

Yes it's winter time but what better time to visit something new. come to Bologna and meet my friend Paola Bianco, who will show us around the area and take us to the places that she loves in her hometown of Bologna and province of Emilia Romagna. We'll eat well, cook a bit, visit the breathtaking mosaics in Ravenna, hear music, visit Ferrara and its elegant Renaissance castles and attend a concert or two.

Join Alyssa Wang of the CSO and Joe Marchio as we visit Seville, Cordoba and Granada, Spain. Indulge yourself in the music and dance and food of Andalucia, in the southern part of the country. This trip is in conjunction with the Cape Symphony's Passport to Spain concerts in January.

Trip Description:
This year's subject are The Passions. Come hear these magnificent choral works of despair, mockery, yearning and joy. Every day we will be greeted with the creations of Bach, in situ, where this musical giant composed, conducted, played the organ and raised his family. There will be some free time to explore the town on your own and rest your saturated senses.

Trip Description:
Join Joe Marchio - yes, again! - as he guides us through the stomping grounds of Giuseppi Verdi in and near Milan. The complete schedule hasn't been set yet, but we'll probably visit his birthplace in Busseto, and in Milan, Casa Verdi, San Marco Church and of course La Scala.
